Your Most Important

Relationship

is With Yourself

I am a warm, creative, and empowering therapist specializing in working with BIPOC clients. In our communities, we face additional mental health challenges and stigma around therapy. You might be the first in your family to seek therapy or trying to change the status quo. Then life happens, and it feels like there's never enough time, support, or calm: anxiety sets in, and you don't know where to start. I'm here to give you tools to manage these feelings, to recognize and release them from your body. Our bodies store emotions, often manifesting in physical ways. I'm here to help you holistically.

What to Expect During Our Sessions

I begin each session by guiding you to look around the room, a grounding technique to help you feel present. Then, I'll prompt you to notice and describe the sensations in your body, helping you access areas where you might be holding onto physical or emotional discomfort. “Whatever we suppress gets expressed.” We’ll hold space for these emotions, talk through them, and listen. If necessary, I may assign tasks such as journaling prompts, meditations, or books to support your growth between sessions. We'll end with another grounding exercise to safely close the session, ensuring you leave feeling secure and supported.
